How To Order

The Ordering Process...

The ordering process is quite simple. Once we have received your order details we will confirm these details with you and ask for payment. Having received payment for your goods, we will draw up a proof layout of the product you have ordered with your design on it. The proof will be emailed to you for your approval, only once this is approved will we begin production of your order. Your order will then be shipped to your specified delivery address.

Please order via email, fax or post including the following information...

  • Product Name
  • Product Reference
  • Product Colour
  • Quantity Required
  • Artwork (in one of the following formats: Adobe Illustrator File (Ai), Editable EPS, Editable PDF)
  • The colours in your artwork to be printed (i.e red & black, or full photographic image)**
  • To match your branding colours we will require Pantone References (e.g Red PMS 032)
  • Required Delivery Date
  • Delivery Address & Invoice Address
  • If you have been quoted please confirm the quote total cost with your order
  • Payment method: BACS, Debit Card or Credit Card (1.85% Transaction Fees apply to Credit Card payments & 2.5% Transaction Fees apply to International Card payments)

High resolution Jpegs are accepted for branding certain products.

** Please note that as a general rule it becomes more expensive to print a product when more print colours are required.

Artwork

As every product is branded using a specific printing process, the artwork format we require depends upon which process is being used. For all screen printed, engraved or embossed products we will require vector based artwork & Pantone References for each print colour.. The most common formats we accept are Adobe Illustrator, Editable EPS and Editable PDF files. For full colour printing or photo transfers we will require a jpeg file or similiar photo file with a minimum of 300dpi.

Artwork Queries

If you only require simple text on your product, we are happy to draw this up free of charge. Please let us know the text required, the print positon and the font when placing your order. If you have a more complicated design and cannot provide vector based artwork, we do offer a re-drawing service, which is charged at a rate specific to the complexity of the job.

If you do not know the Pantone References for your branding colours, please download the Pantone Colour Chart and choose the closest match.

Payment

We will require full payment before we can proceed with production of any order. Your payment can be made via BACS, Debit Card or Credit Card (1.85% Transaction Fees apply to Credit Card payments & 2.5% Transaction Fees apply to International Card payments). Once we have received your order and payment you will always be emailed a proof layout for your approval before production begins.

Delivery

The lead times shown on our website are from your approval of the proof layout. If you have a specific delivery date in mind please call us as we can often accomodate shorter lead times.

FAQ’s

Q. Can I order a quantity not shown in the prices table?
A. We can supply any specific quantity as long is it is above the minimum quantity threshold. The minimum quantity can often be less then the lowest figure in the prices table, so please contact us with your requirement

Q. Why do products have a minimum order quantity?
A. Our minimum order quantities are due to the printing process used to brand each product. As machine setup takes time, it is not cost effective per unit to brand less than a certain number of products in one print run. The flip side of this is that unit prices also decrease as the order quantity increases.

Q. Will I see how my order is going to look?
A. Yes, we always send a proof sheet for your approval. This will show the position of your artwork on the product ordered. It will also show the print colours and product colour specified. If you are not happy with the layout please let us know and we will re-draw the layout until you are happy to
proceed with production.

Q. What is “Origination”?
A. Origination is the cost of creating the screens or tool to brand the product with your design. Once these have been created you will only ever have to pay a small setup fee for any future orders of the same product & design. Please note re-orders must be made with in one year of the original order for this to apply, as we cannot keep copies of screens etc. past this time.

Q. What is an Editable EPS or PDF?
A. These are file formats of artwork created by a vector based design program. Vector art consists of creating paths and points in a program such as Illustrator or Freehand. The program keeps track of the relationships between these points and paths. This creates a scaleable artwork that keeps it’s proportions and quality when sized up or down.
